Well... it looks like today's clear, so... Let's do the dress-rehearsal tonight, everyone? If that's all right... I know it's a little sudden, but with the curses...

And, as long as there isn't a curse... The performance of The Importance of Being Earnest will be this Friday, at seven p.m.!

[In comes Rosella, eager and excited, with a big bag of cookies in one hand and her lovingly tattered script in the other. She's looking much more cheerful than she has been the past few days, caught up in the thrill of putting on another play with all her friends. The bruises she incurred on Halloween have been carefully covered over with makeup, and only a practiced eye would be able to pick them out now, so tonight she looks her usual self--smiling, rested, and glad.

All in all, she's ecstatic to be here, and immediately sets about bustling around getting herself into costume in preparation for the rehearsal.]

Has anyone seen my wig?

[Alester pokes around frantically backstage. He's tenser than usual and looks like he hasn't been sleeping or eating much lately, though it's not so much that it's less than usual it's just that he's not hiding the fact well.]

Oh, hello, Alester! No, I'm afraid I haven't seen it--isn't it with your other things?

[She frowns a little, putting her own costuming on hold to come over and help him look, which has the interesting effect of leaving her in stocking feet with one lace glove on and her hair halfway braided down her back.]

It should be. Maybe I dropped it somewhere.

[He sighs, and runs his fingers through his now somewhat actual disheveled hair.]

Oh, dear. Well, I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm sure it must be around here somewhere.

Thanks, Rosella. I guess it wouldn't be a proper dress rehearsal if something didn't go wrong.

[What a shock that Neil's glad to see her, positively beaming when she comes in.]

Goodness, I hope so! Oh, I'm so excited!

[And all thoughts of packages and costumes promptly go by the wayside as she rushes over for a hug.]

[Hugging is one of those things that strikes him as strangely modern, not the act so much as the openness of it, but Rosella's enthusiasm is irresistible and, well, thanks to his own energy he's not particularly interested in trying.]

It's going to be great, I can feel it.

[Rosella may be old-fashioned in many things, but as far as she is concerned, the necessity for hugging is timeless. Particularly among friends she considers as close as family.]

And just what we all need, I should think, after the month we've had! Oh, and I brought some treats with me for us all to snack on--acting is hungry work, after all! Oh, I can't wait to put on my costume! Have you seen it yet?

[The mock incredulousness is palpable, echoed by a little grin.]

I haven't seen yours, but all of them that I have seen... They're unbelievable!

Silly! What do you think I do to keep my hands busy while I practice my lines?

[And she's grinning too, as she sticks out her tongue at him.]

Cinna made them, didn't he? It's really wonderful, the things he puts together! I'm so excited to see it!

He did, and I couldn't have hoped for more.

[It's funny, how his plays make Neil come alive in a way nothing else does; he's a barely-contained ball of energy right now, taking her hand for no reason other than that he needs some anchor or he'll go bounding off through the building.]

[She gives his hand a squeeze, swinging his arm a little before tugging him in the direction of the costumes. It's always easier to be happy when her friends are happy, and Neil's happiness is nothing if not infectious.]

It's going to be marvelous, you know. And we'll all have such fun!

[Neil tags along happily because, well. It's rehearsal, anywhere they go is a good place to be.]

[His grin would be ridiculous, if it weren't so heartfelt.]
