You shouldn't. I've seen this one come around before, and it's just one more ridiculous way of trying to make us all miserable.

I think now and then, this is something worth being miserable about.

As long as it's only now and then, and not constantly.

Most of the time I don't let it get to me. Mostly.

It's easier when you don't have to think about it, isn't it? Which is part of what makes this curse so frustrating, that the letter won't go away no matter what you do.

It's hard not to think about it, for me. But it's usually easier to remember that the only thing I can do now is make the most of it, since I can't go back and change what happened already. I don't want to be defined by the worst thing I ever did.

No, that's very true. The world would be quite a different place if we were defined solely by our faults instead of by our virtues, after all.

Is there anything I can do to help, though? Even if it's just a little?
