Heroes - You Can Be Mean and I'll Drink All the Time (PG-13)

Nov 07, 2006 11:48

I was gonna say something here, but everybody seems to be in a craptastic mood about the election, so you know, just hey, Heroes!

Heroes
Missing scene from 1.05 'Hiros'
Spoilers through 1.07
Nathan Petrelli. Hiro Nakamura.

You Can Be Mean and I'll Drink All the Time

Nathan's going to have to work on the landing part, the skidding is still too amateurish, but this was a lot better than the time he landed on his ass in the middle of Central Park at 4 o'clock in the morning, freaking out two winos and entirely too many pigeons. )

This is fabulous and Nathan.

*flails*

Oh, Hiro.

*hearts*

I like that you have him love Peter, but still not understand him.

And the bits about flying in Central Park. Awesome.

Nathan and Peter have an acrimonious relationship sure, but Nathan still loves him, he still wants to protect him. It's that special sibling love of 'I could strangle you with my bare hands, but if anybody else touches you I'll kill them.'

You know, for the longest time I didn't get it -- the Heroes thing -- I just didn't. I thought Hiro was great, but the other 90% left me comatose, and then I just happened to catch Nathan's flight and I was all THAT'S HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FLY, DAMMIT! (What latent SV issues?) Anyroad, when Nathan landed and met Hiro, my brain was all 'oh. Oh. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!'

Yes, Nathan and Hiro are like that metal head thingy that K had.

When it clicks, it clicks big time, eh?

Watching Nathan, I totally get that Adrian Pasdar fascination that his fans have, because he's like two or three different beasts in the same body, it's really pretty cool to watch. He can smile and be breathtakingly gorgeous but turn his head just so and suddenly, it's a fucking shark!!!! Or, you know, the devil. So, yes...Nathan is big big big on the fascination point, for me.

Hiro is just love. Anybody who doesn't get that, I cannot have a conversation with, you know?

Anyroad(? LOL), the point is you got BOTH of them in this story!!!! And you mentioned Lex, because the show may be shit, but S1 Lex was a thing of pure beauty that trascended that shitty little show, and he was worthy of a shout out!

Also--I would read your version of Hiro's broken English all. day. long. It's totally worthy of waffles, woo hoo! that's, you know, actual canon.

In short: BWEE!!!!!

And thank you. *smooches*
