Relationship Meme!

Because, you know, I need something that I won't finish for three months.

Christine hasn't met any of them. Nifty!

Willow has met Bart. As I mentioned with Buffy, Willow can't not like Bart. He's a hyperactive superkid who means well all the time and is genuinely sweet. That said, he and his teammates represent Buffy leaving Sunnydale to seek life elsewhere. It means that Buffy's leaving Willow too, because Willow can't leave Sunnydale. She has a responsibility to keep the vampire population down, now that she knows about it, and she can't leave. So while she likes Bart, she's kinda sad at what he represents.

Simon has met all three because I am apparently a spammer. lies

Gert is the snarky AU twin who doesn't tell Simon to shut up when he talks about River. Although Simon fails at talking to people, he really appreciates that, because he knows that he must be annoying as hell when it comes to that - I think you mentioned in a previous meme that Gert's aware that this is Simon's way of grieving for River-that-was, and that's the neatest way I've heard it described. He looks out for Gert as best he can - which isn't so great - but if she ever got into a situation when she needed help, he'd offer to. He sympathises with the whole "our parents sucked" thing, even though he knows that his parents were just ambitious and blind whereas Gert's were actually evil. I wouldn't describe it as an older brother role (that's Mytho), but he keeps tabs on her as much as he thinks she's comfortable with. Because, you know, despite his being young, he's still an adult. He acts like one and he knows it, which helps not at all.

Bart
Bart scared the living daylights out of Simon when he came into the post with Peter. The situation itself was scaring Simon because he was trying to keep track of two very volatile people while trying (and failing!) to keep calm and unafraid. So when Bart came in, it was a big "oh god, he's going to die and it'll be all my fault". 'Cause Bart's a big kid, and while he doesn't ping Simon like certain kinds of kids do, Simon wants to keep him out of trouble. It's the whole "I'm an adult and I need to keep kids out of trouble OH NO HE'S GOING TO DIE AND IT'S MY FAULT DAMMIT."

Mytho
As I've said in Ahiru's section, the Ptutu cast ping Simon so hard. They're good kids being manipulated by someone who controls every part of their lives to the point where they will die for it. Mytho, in particular, pings Simon a lot because the analogies between his normal state/affected by the raven's blood and River's normal/triggered states are so obvious. And basically he wants to cut Drosselmeyer, hug the four Ptutu kids and tell them that nothing more'll happen to them because he won't let it. he claims he's not the mum. Lies.

This won't happen. Simon's too practical and so he knows it won't happen. But he wishes he could, because their lives are fundamentally unfair. And so he will always spend time listening to Mytho and while sometimes Simon doesn't appear to be listening to what Mytho's saying, he is. Because, you know, River analogue ftw.
