THE DECISION
I made my decision a while ago, but it was finally put on paper last week. I will NOT, repeat NOT be reenlisting, transfering, augmenting to an officer program or any such nonsense. I will however be doing the following.
4th Marine Air Wing Detachment in Pensacola is hiring a GS-9 with my particular knowledge about Marine Corps Administration.
Translation: I will be getting more money for becoming a civilian and doing the same job I do now. Hell, the office is just down the hall.
I don't have the job yet, but I have a very good chance.
So, looks like I'm staying here.
