Giving Up - NCIS Western Fic
You may or may not have read my summary of the two NCIS fics that I finally decided to give up on. (Here if you care: https://hackey-mcslashy.livejournal.com/53561.html) In it I mentioned that I had 4 WiPs for NCIS on the go and I was giving up on 2 of them. Well, I'm pretty sure I'm giving up on another one.
This one I've been writing for a *really* long time. I can't even be sure exactly when I started it, because when you move your stuff from one laptop to another it loses the original creation date, and I've done at least one, possibly two, laptop changes since I began.
I even had someone from LJ attempt some beta-ing on in at some point (might have been wintermute_lj but it's so long ago I can't even remember)
I think I have to just accept that:
A) this story is not going to get finished
and
B) my time in the NCIS fandom is at its end.
I don't think I'll ever fully stop writing fanfiction, but considering I'm down to roughly 1 story a year at this point, it's probably best for everyone if I focus my limited energy on a fandom I'm still active in, and a show I'm still watching/care about.
