A/N. Taking
rose_malmaison's advice, and inspired a little by the How I Met Your Mother episode 'Go', this is a short, second person narrative fic. I don't usually write different perspective stories, so I hope this is decent. The 'He' of the story is Tony DiNozzo, the 'You' is whoever you want it to be.
You should have expected it. This has been building for weeks - years if you’re honest with yourself. You never acknowledged it, and neither did he, but this case took its toll and ‘one of those days’ became a week, became a month. You didn’t speak, and when you did it was strained, sharp words. You expected him to snap first, but in the end it was you. You raged in a way you never have before in the office, and through it all he just looked at you like it was about time. The case ended and everyone went home. Everyone but him. He followed you. He’s here. There are rules and risks to think about. A million ways in which this could go wrong, but you don’t have time to think about it because he’s standing right in front of you with those hazel-green eyes full of exhaustion, and fear, and hope.
What do you do?
