[Action]

[Now that the experiment is over and she feels a bit less enraged about having been so easily manipulated, Jacqli has decided to go to the Battle Dome and fiddle around with console for a bit. Nothing harmful, of course -- she's trying to program something specific that she never got to do back home. Especially after that experiment ( Read more... )

all that's coming out of her, yes even the music, exec_despedia, not throwing a tantrum, okay maybe just a little, blowing things up is fun, just a little pissed off, yes all the chorus too

You were unable to in your world?

Nor here, not without Malnosso interference. It's the only reason I'm speaking now.

Oh, Filial magic, that too.

... I'd forgotten about the magic here. [But more importantly--] Doesn't such a thing bother you? Having scientists change something like that.

It does. Knowing we're at the whim of whatever the Malnosso choose to do and not being able to do a thing about it is... well, it's a lot of things, I'm not sure there's a word to properly sum it up.

Their gifts also tend to be doubled-edged; I may have a voice, but they took my eyesight.

A trade-off, then. [She's also silently grateful that this person is bothered by the Malnosso. She's seen so much complacency around, it was starting to get worrying.] How did this happen, anyway?

A trade-off. [She may bristle at the actions of the Malnosso, but Ginia can't deny there's some complacency as well. For all its ups and downs, Luceti is still better than her home world.]

Kidnapped and taken to their labs. Surprisingly quick turn-around, they grabbed me in the morning and dropped me back at night.

... I see. Perhaps they took you for the purpose of this sense-exchange you've been given, if they had you for such a short amount of time.

That's my guess. There weren't any other side-effects so... it's a logical conclusion. Time will tell how long this lasts.

It may not be my place to do so, but I suggest you enjoy it for the time it lasts. They may have claimed your eyesight for the time being, but once the effect is gone, your voice will follow.

Both things I've realized, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

What about you? Anything you've found to be possible here but impossible back home?

[... Oh. Right. Someone would ask that, wouldn't they. Hmmm ... for now, let's stay away from the topic of "I got to use a holy guard machine to wreck havoc on various junk using missiles" and go for something else.]

... Equality.
