Been so busy having a life!
getting my GtB Flat Nekid bike ready for multiple photoshoots...... one will be here next week and another at Kens Solid Gold Club in Nashville very soon......
also been getting customer work wrapped up and made some huge progress on two long term projects
Mr Sins, Corvette Mike, and Big John Schnider are painting GtB right now and Jay is cnc'ing my new risers since I scrapped the last attempt..... what's totally cool is this bike may actually get a bit of coverage in Penthouse...... one of the magazines I used to write for is owned by an ex boss that has some ownership in Penthouse and it would seem we are indeed on good terms. I love it!
Since Kat has been out of the picture.... many people that stayed away are coming back into the picture to help out and it's such a relief to have my good friends pushing the cause forward....... I'm not having to write the articles other than the tech which is very flattering and a load off my shoulders. It really is work to prep articles for many many magazines and then get them into the right hands.
Now if I can just hook up with the right person to run the parts end...... I may take that two week trip out west but I'm just subject to do it anyhow.
Rode out Saturday night after sunset to attend the annual McCarty Party....... dark and pouring rain but I made it there alive, but soaking wet, with a great excuse to shed my clothes and use Julie's dryer..... which worked out quite well since I minded my manners and folded her towels and of course...... some females caught me in the act
well this resulted in GtB getting it's cherry popped and a few pleasant visitors this week. Note to self....... go to more parties unescorted..... haven't done that in four years and it was fantastic. Met many cool people and rode all day Sunday but I did blow off doing the shows at the HD dealerships.
The bike ran great and it's one of the few I've instantly fallen in love with even though it's brutal, ill-tempered, and totally uncivilized.
Unusual day today in that three very close friends contaced me today after being either overseas or put down for a spell and it looks like some sort of party here this weekend since two are on the way from afar. Cool, I like having my brothers in my home.
Gotta run and I will check in on all of you later once things quiet down and I've done the basic things to take care of myself like eat and maybe shave even but all is great on this end and I'm really enjoying the peaceful quiet at home now. It wasn't hard to get used to at all!
