The Giving (and Taking) Tree

so anyways....my neighbor decided that the giant 5 million year old tree that gave shade to approximately 4 or 5 houses had lived long enough and hired about 20 sweaty (and not very hot) guys to come cut it down. It was the worst noise ive ever heard. It sounded like when a spoon falls into the garbage disposal and gets stuck. Poor tree....I loved you and your shade.
I also loved how the tree was a home to small birds. Small birds that have now taken refuge in my garage........and built a giant nest above the washing machine. They dive at my head when i try to do laundry. Its not cool. The first time I saw them i thought they were trapped....but they wouldnt leave when i openned the door for them. Miko is in love with them....she sits by the kitchen/garage door all day long listening.
The worst part about having that tree gone as this.....
The idiots my neighbor hired to cut the tree down decided that they needed to take the roots out as well. This tree was probably around before Columbus even knew the ocean was blue, so, needless to say....there are lots of roots. They went under the houses, under my driveway, and most importantly, under the giant power transformer that sits right smack in front of this ancient tree.
So these geniuses are pulling up the roots and not paying attention.
Then I come home around 5 or so with my mom following from her house. She gets out of the car and looks at me like i ordered them to cut the tree down. "What are these wires, Jane?"
"Huh?" I JUST GOT HOME TOO!!!!! How am i supposed to know.
These geniuses severed the power lines to my house.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was very dark. Mommy was very angry. Miko was crying for food. And I kicked the end table. Ouch.
Mommy called the power company and threw a fit...and the power was back on by 7. The POWER was back on. I had nothing else.
The Cable and Phone companies both said theyd be by first thing sat morning....which really means noon, if they even bother to show up. I ended up having to call in waiting on these bastards. >_<
They never showed.
They waited till sunday when i was at work to call me to say they couldnt make it today because it was storming.
....ok....so why couldnt you make it yesterday like you said.

Yeah thats what i thought.
The cable company got the tv working by sunday night. The phone company didnt show up till this afternoon. >_< All the wires are still sitting out in the yard...uncovered.....with those stupid little orange flags on them....they make the wires look gay.....like they were flambouyant enough so they needed dayglow orange to make them stand out it the grass and woodchips. ~_~
Oh yeah, my dad was out of town on a damn boat.
My sister had two more gall bladder/stone attack thingies and the surgeons refuse to remove them.
My mother is being tested for alzhemiers.
Anthonys last day at work is 9/18, which is sad cuz hes the only one who will play games with me ;_;
And i twisted my ankle at work.....damn rolling shelving....>_<
I did read 3 books, drew several sections of my room, helped miko chase a gecko, wandered around outside, played dress up in all my clothes, eventually watched some really old anime i have sitting around, windexed, went hunting for my old fraggles toys for eric, and had some really freaky dreams...especially about giant sharks...that one takes the cake....or in this case the school cafeteria O_o
I also found a power ranger zoid and a jack sparrow plushie on the floor at work the other day.....so i had to play with them......Jack Sparrow now lives in the giant sailboat on top of the etageres that no one wants cuz its way too friggin big. The Zoid used to live over by the play station till the kids mom called looking for it. Jack Sparrow looks amazing as the captain of that sail boat....I didnt know where to put most of the strings when i built the damn thing....so it doesnt really look like a sailboat as much as it looks like some sticks and lots of string attached to a hull. O_o But Jack Sparrow can captain anything.
I dunno....Ive got problems.
But my birthday is next wednesday.
