Bunnies and bench-clearing brawls...

Well, this past weekend was entirely pleasant even though is rained like a beeyotch all day Saturday. Brother Adam, Esq. and his fiance came to town (because he was having Easter dinner with her family this year) and we went out to lunch and general merriment was had by all. I had an alcoholic beverage called a Blue Freeze Pop and it was very blue and tasty, but it was not a frozen drink, which I thought it would be, so I was a little disappointed at first, but after slurping down two of them, I no longer cared, of course. Then a small portion of us (me, BA, his fiance and Momma D) went over to see Gramma F. I'd made her a cute little Easter basket which I think she liked. My dad dropped by and Gramma F had arranged for my aunt to pick up a coffee cake at Gregg's (boy do they make a fine cake!). So we had ourselves a little party. I think Gramma F was quite happy to have the company and she got to talk to BA's fiance a little bit more than she has in the past, which was nice. BA's fiance (I need to find a blog name for her) is quite friendly, so it's all good. Later that evening The Felon came over with her BF and we dyed eggs and had mozzarella sticks. Good times.

Sunday was nice, my aunt made a fantastic dinner even though she wasn't feeling very well (mega props!) and then I watched baseball with my Puerto Rican cousin Juan and his brother Andre which got very exciting at one point because the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of California of the United States of America of the Planet Earth of the Milky Way Galaxy of the Universe got pissed at Josh Beckett for accidentally hitting Bobby Abreu who called for timeout too late while he was batting. Beckett was already wound up for the pitch when the umpire OK'd the timeout so it was the ump's fault, but the Angels are all keyed up these days because of their pitcher who got killed by a guy who happens to have the same name as Cousin Andre's real name (this actually caused some confusion on my father's side of the family until they realized that the accident happened in California and Cousin Andre was nowhere near there at the time). Then the Red Sox lost and we were all annoyed.

I know, it's only April...still annoying.

holidays, baseball, family
