(no subject)
Last night I was so absolutely dead tired that by the time I crawled into bed I couldn't even keep my eyes open long enough to pull the blankies up over me. I'd only gotten a few hours of sleep before I had to work in the morning so I was exceptionally tired all day...butt tired even. My tiredness did not prevent me from winning two games of Trivial Pursuit Totally 80's Edition (the second game I won on a sports(!) question and the Felon was pi-hi-hissed). Then I still managed to do my laundry and take a shower before I slept allllll day. That was lovely.

Yesterday was Employee Appreciation Day. CVS gives us all an extra 10% employee discount. I didn't have to work at all on Saturday and I think that's actually the most appreciative thing El Douche could have done even though it wasn't intentional. I'm pretty sure it was frackin' busy all day and I'm glad that I didn't have to set foot in that place. Pfffft.

Okay, so, for his birthday (which is on the 13th), Brother Adam is getting a fancy Cross pen that I found for a not so fancy price on Amazon and possibly, if I can find something that doesn't suck, some sort of blank writing, journal-y, tablet-like book because I can't seem to wrap my head around the idea of giving someone something to write with without also giving him something to write on with that implement. Christmas is easy. At breakfast last week he told Momma D that if anybody asked, he wanted dress shirts and ties for Christmas because he really needed them. Bingo! So I actually found a nice set of three matching ties at Macy's (on sale!) and now I just need to find a decent shirt to match. Don't get me wrong, gift certificates are a brilliant thing, but they don't make for a very exciting gifting experience. Ya know, like, "Oooo, nice envelope!" Mmmhmmm.

For Christmas the Mayan Lion is getting trimmed and clipped and detangled and I don't care if she doesn't like it. I have fifteen vacation hours left to use before the 30th and I'll spend every second of them chasing her around the house with the cat brush ifin it kills me.

Speaking of hair, mine is really feckin' long right now. It's almost shoulder length...the longest it's been in more than a decade. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but right now I'm just thinking that I'm gonna let it grow until I can't stands it no mo'. I think that's a good enough reason.

SNL is sadly lacking in goodness without Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch (thank goodness for Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph), but, by the grace of iTunes, I have fallen for 30 Rock. Also, Andy Samberg isn't funny. Where'd they get that guy?

This week, I have three days off instead of two. Yayz! But now I must go to bed because I'm c-c-c-cold and I have a wee headache. Boooz!
