I was at work for about an hour today when I caught an earful of the music playing on the store radio system. They were totally playing Oasis' "Wonderwall". Rock on. I don't know why, but I was more blown away by that than I was the time I was walking down an aisle and they were playing Green Day, whom I enjoy as well, but they were playing "Wake Me Up When September Ends"...kinda tame.

Heh. Reminds me of the time Brother Adam and I came careening into the Square, in his old Pimp Mobile, blasting "Brain Stew", effectively scaring all of the lame-o bourgoise folks sitting outside of Starbucks. Hee...memories.

So today is Momma D's birthday and I got her a gift, but I didn't get a card because I'm feeling anti-Hallmark this week. When I'm feeling this way, I usually make my own card and I find that ever so satisfying. Normally I'd break out the markers and show off my mad doodling skillz, but this time I got this idea in my head, because Momma D has the same birthday as Mick Jagger and she does love her some Rolling Stones, that I'd scour the internets for a good picture to make into a birthday card. And I found this:

Keef!

How many ways can I explain that this picture cracks me right the hell up? Now I've just got to think up a good caption or something.

my own weirdness, pictures, music, family
