I've got to start using this again

It's twenty minutes past seven. Yesterday was a beautiful day! I was able to go out for a little bit and ride my bike. I love opportunities like that - days which are against the norm in Colorado during the months of March and April when the weather could do just about anything. I was even able to take the lining out of my jacket! I'm guessing it was about 65 degrees. The sky was clear and bright blue and the sun shone on the entire city. It was one of those picturesque days where no shadows could be seen; and if there were shadows around, the day was too beautiful for me to notice them.

Yesterday morning I spent some time writing some papers for school. I was having a tough time focusing on it so I went out and goofed around. I couldn't focus on much of anything. I did manage to clean the floors of my car and go to Rocky Mountain Cycle Plaza to order the spedometer cable for the bike and pick up a trickle charger. Eighteen dollars for a spedometer cable! Wow. I guess I just have to be careful I line it through the bike so it doesn't get bent or shredded like the current one. Crystal worked all morning. She actually called me forty-five minutes into her shift to talk because she was bored. That bank over there is just silly on the weekends. They have a decent sized staff and for the most part they are all there on Saturdays. They just sit around staring out the window helping the seven or eight people who might come in throughout the morning. It must be nice to get paid to do a whole lot of nothing. It kind of reminds me of my days at Aegis Lending. Ok ok, that's enought thinking of that place. After Crystal got out of work, she came home to have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then leave for a baby shower for one of her pregnant coworkers. Joy. I wanted to go out riding with her in the afternoon because I love enjoying days like yesterday with her. She told me she wasn't up to the social part of the shower today and would pack it up after the festivities began. Fair enough, the thing started at 1:30, she'll get home by 3:00 - right? Wrong! 4:30. There goes the afternoon. Ah well.

At 5:30 we headed over the RMCC for service. Sometimes I feel like we're "cheating" on our regular congregation, but it sure is nice to get my head filled up with the Bible, something that isn't nearly as emphasized where we regularly attend. I wonder if we'd get in trouble if people found out we were seeing another congregation behind their backs? Bah, who cares?!

I did notice at about 4:00 yesterday that I had a severe case of the munchies. After devouring half a bag of pumpkin seeds it occurred to me that I forgot to take my medication yesterday morning. That would explain the lack of focus and constant desire to "fidget eat". To quote the amazing film Explorers, "Smooth move Ex Lax!". Niiiiice.

So, as I wrap up this momentary blurting out of information I can hear the dissonant buzzing of the alarm clock upstairs, along with the smack of Crystal's hand hitting the snooze button for the umpteenth time. I better get myself cleaned up and shaved before it's too late. Too late for what? I'm not sure. But the term "before it's too late" definately has some dramatic effects to it.

Oh yeah, and it's snowing outside.

I kid you not.

Welcome to Colorado.
