And don't worry. It's not everyone.
Preface
It is a good thing that LJ is still here. I have tried reading my past entries, and I have realized how much I have changed over the past few years. Gone is the me that can post an entry everyday, and blurt out all sorts of daily stuff, because of my busy life nowadays. I have a wife, and two kids to take care of as well.
So, about my subject.
Humans
The recent election in our country has made me twice about how I think about people nowadays. Up to now, I have a love and hate relationship with them. Most of the time, it's the latter though.
This is the worst election I have ever encountered in my lifetime. Weren't people just supposed to vote for their candidate, and accept whatever the result is? But now, just before the election, I see and hear a lot of posts putting another candidate to shame. Sentences like "You have the right to vote anyone, it's democracy.", but several weeks after the same person says "If you're going to vote for this one, then think about your life choices", or "Unfriend me now if you will vote for them". It's like people only want to hear what they want to hear.
I just found a memory of myself (from FB) saying that you just vote for the candidate you like, and no need for negativity or bashing the candidate you don't like. I was thinking of the same thing this year, which means my stand hasn't changed.
Just a week before the election, I have felt how people suddenly are like campaigning to vote for this candidate. Like what the hell. You had like several weeks to do this, why are you suddenly pressuring people now? And what happened to "I have the right to vote anyone that I like"? Just because of the election, and post-election reaction that I have been seeing everywhere, I have started to distance myself and just observe.
So yeah, starting that day, you may find myself different than what I was. And it's because people are disgusting.
