Meeting after several months | I feel good

We meet again

After like how many months (I think maybe even more than a year!), me and my long time friends, Sketch and Adz, met again. They support my live stream a lot and since our country eased on restrictions on fully vaxxed individuals, I told them that we should meet for dinner, my treat.

So I treated them to Yabu for dinner (this was decided by a Heads and Tails. Heads = Ramen, but Tails won), and some coffee at CBTL.

I did a deed

For the third time in life, I returned something to its original owner.

Case in discussion. I picked two lost phones before, waited for them to be rang by the owner, and returned it to them.

And it happened again today.

We were in Powerplant mall with Sketch and Adz - I was supposed to treat them for dinner as way of saying thanks for all the hard work and for always supporting my live streams. Upon checking my wallet, I lack funds, so I needed to use the ATM to withdraw cash.

Then I saw a sleeping mobile phone after the last ATM user. I reluctantly called her. "Miss, is this your phone?"

"No, it's not my phone.", she surprisingly denied.

So there was this thing running in my mind. Do I leave it there, or do I grab it and wait for the owner to call? Usually, I would just leave there **if I don't live here**, but my mind said that I would rather keep the phone and wait for the original owner to call me up.

Upon picking the phone, the exterior says it's a Samsung phone. I saw the Stylus, so I immediately identified that it's a Samsung Note model. Without prying *too much I can't avoid* I pressed the home button to check, and the battery was only 4%, so I quickly grabbed my charger and charge the phone. I then checked if the owner is calling. I was doing this every now and then because the phone kept vibrating every now and then because it still keeps receiving messages.

So Sketch and Adz was with me at that time. I displayed the phone while charging it, so that when the owner returned, they would see the phone. 20 minutes has passed, but she didn't call, but we were already hungry, so we've decided to go to Yabu for our dinner.

After ordering, and a few minutes later, someone was calling the phone! I quickly answered it and heard a woman's voice. I told her that I have her phone and I am willing to return it. I told her where she can find me.

A few minutes later, she talked to me, and asked for her phone. To confirm that it was hers, I asked her to enter her pin number, which was correct. I then gave her the phone, and she was thanking me a lot. I said, you're welcome. Then I saw her grabbing something out of her bag. I quickly said, "Mam, huwag niyo na po, okay na po yun, ingatan niyo na lang po next time." Then she said, more thanks, even asked my name, and where I live. I did tell her out of courtesy, and then said our goodbyes.

A few minutes later after our Katsu Curry orders has arrived, I was surprised she came back with a bag of Mama's Empanada. This time, I couldn't say no - she bought it for me, and it's food anyway! I did tell her my thanks, and to take care of her phone.

And that was it. I felt good, fulfilled, satisfied, despite all the time guarding her phone. I did not expect the empanadas though.

Fulfilled. Satisfied.
