Poor 3DS
Since 2007, I've started buying my own handheld consoles, starting on the Nintendo DS Lite. Up to this very moment, I have 6 handheld consoles in my possession.
As I collected them, I sold some, but bought new ones in exchange. For example, I sold my Nintendo 3DS Japan Red, and bought a New Nintendo 3DS Japan Blue.
I never broke a single one that required replacement. The worse was when my 2007 Nintendo DS Lite's hinge cracked. It was still operational, and was saved by buying a Capdase Aluminum housing.
But this year, I broke my Nintendo 3DS XL Pikachu into a condition that I cannot play a game at its current state. I can play a game, but it's too risky. Here's how it looks like:
Yeah, other than the right hinge cracking, I can't even play it without laying it flat, or else I might risk removing the left part. So there. I needed to buy a new one immediately. Good thing I can transfer every data from the other unit to the next.
So, I immediately bought a New Nintendo 3DS, with Super Mario 3D Land preloaded. I plan to buy a new Nintendo 3DS XL casing and transfer the Nintendo 3DS XL Pikachu contents into it. The outer shell only costs 10 dollars.
So, here it is, working as usual. I actually like how I returned to the regular size, since my first Nintendo 3DS was the regular size.
Now I multitask gaming with my New Nintendo 3DS Japan Blue, when possible XD
