about subletting my room
Will you guys throw your 2cents in on this email convo I have been having:
First the craigslist ad I posted:
$472 / 1br - 1 furnished bedroom for the month of Feb. 2009
I am subletting my room while I spend the month of February 2009 abroad.
The Room:
Desk, Twin bed, Dresser, Closet, Cable Internet, Cable TV & all utilities included in the price of rent. Share a bathroom with one very clean young man.
About our house: 2 indoor cats, no smoking indoors, a kitchen with all the utensils, furnished living room, 4 bedrooms total, two bath, washer/dryer, dish washer, parking. In a quite neighborhood but also just blocks away from stores, restaurants, bars & a cafe.
Walking distance to a QFC & a Safeway. Ten minute walk to Northgate Mall.
On major bus routes to the U-district, downtown and northgate park and ride.
Current residents 5 total: A UW student, 3 musicians (one of which will be abroad with me) and a dreamer (me). We make up a young laid back house. Don't worry about all the rock stars, they don't practice here much.

First thing, is *only* available for the month of February. I will be
spending Feb 1st-28th in Costa Rica and I am looking to see if needs
short term housing for that month. I hoped I made that clear in the
advertising of this room. If it didn't seem clear, please inform me
which site you saw the advertisement on and I will take another look
at the wording I used.

Am sure You 'll really like the person that i am ,because i will also do the dishing if you like,I work when i am to and relax when i am to,I also like sharing my thoughts also....paying rent on time will not be a problem as i will also be making the rent fee before the month ends....So i decided to leave London as to know how medical workers there does and work with other medical workers to get more experience ,so i planned to move in by the availability of the room.Until August would be fine for me.I can take it from now.I'll also want to see more pictures of the place .I must confess am comfortable with the price and I will want to secure the place down before my arrival so i will want you to tell me all about the place,as i can't see

Good Morning (or at least its morning here)
The room will NOT be available from March-August. It is only available
for the one month I will be traveling. When I return from Costa Rica,
March 1st 2009, I will need my room back. The ideal candidate's
situation would be that they are just in between housing that month.
This is SUPER SHORT TERM only. Does this make sense? confirm/deny.
If you are having trouble finding long term housing, maybe you could
crash here while you look in person.
The
house:
We have lived here for 3.5 years now. After living with a lot of
different room mates during our college years I think the 5 of us have
found people that we want to live with long into the future. Four of
us are best friends, the 5th a few of us have only known a few months
and he isn't here that much, but from what we have gotten to know
about him we think he is a keeper. None of us really want to marry and
have kids so we're establishing that family home sense of belonging
with each other; for a few of us moving in with blood relatives for
that same feeling is, sadly, not an option. We share food staples like
a family (eggs, milk, coffee, tea, potatoes etc etc) which kind of
makes for a communal spirit. We are kind of home bodies and like to
eat dinner together. Since the vacancy is only short term no offense
would be taken if you wouldn't outwardly operate in the same manner.
But its a good
description how we like to live with each other.
We have two indoor cats a little over a year old. You would not be
expected to take any responsibility for their care. They are very
social and well behaved.

There would be plenty of room for your stuff, If I am able to sublet
my room for the time I will be abroad I would stuff the majority of my
stuff into the crawl space so you wouldn't have to live out of a
suitcase or anything. One of our two parking spaces is free, you would
have use of it.
About the people: One 26 year old
female University of Washington
student who is doubling in Math and Informatics, she enjoys caving,
board games and hiking. One 24 year old male musician who works part
time at a high volume cafe/bakery, he enjoys not eating meat and being
very easy going. One 26 year old male musician, he enjoys seasonal
work in Alaska, the bass guitar, folk music, and taking a million
pictures of the cats with his phone.
Two more people, who will be gone during the one month of the room's
availability:
me: 24 female University of Washington graduate who is looking to
reconcile her career path with her world view. Another 24 year old
female UW alumni (my best friend) who is looking to change the world
with her unconditional love for it. The two of us will be traveling
together.
We are young and liberal with open minds.
