New home = a whole, brand-spankin' new chapter in life...

Doesn't really feel all that earth-shattering, though...R had been staying with me since school let out prior to winter break, and after being with me for those solid two weeks, he just never left -- and neither of us really questioned it...and now I've moved into his place, and here we are...and while we both have talked about the "m" word and, yes, he already proposed well over a year ago, after 3 months of dating -- and no, I did not give him a yea or a nay, just a "ummm, let's give it a full 4 seasons first..." -- and he knows full well how I feel about the whole committment-thing (somewhere between "eek! run for the hills!" and "ermmm...what's that word again?"), but to reassure him (as he's extremely family-oriented), I have told him that I could probably be the "e" word forever (ermmmm, you know, what happens when you accept a proposal...I'm not trying to be difficult here, but I *am* trying not to cause a panic-attck here...I so used to not be this way, I loved the idea of "m," but since about age 28, it's been different...).  Anyway...he respects that, and he also is ok with having a child before m-ing.  We've talked about that, too, and we're thinking in about 2 years.  (I'm trying to plan it that the pregnancy works out to happen with the school year schedule...)  Although, my Oma was great:  she told me to go the civil ceremony route, and then we'll have a family dinner together.  Sounds perfect to me.  :)

So, yeah.  I really revel in how fluidly & naturally all of this has seemed...sure, I've given him plenty of pieces of my mind, but it's all worked out pretty damn well.  Nothing is perfect, and neither has this been, but it's made me happy.  I'm really quite happy.  :)
