Tired and mildly stressed at work today, I saw something. A faint smoke was rising off everyone and everything around me, creating a gentle white haze that filled in the empty air around me. It evoked the images of the divine sparks discussed in kabbalistic texts, the shards that lie encased in the material detrius that has accreted around them. The closest related experiences I have had were of burning sweetgrass or the sparks that come off of self-lighting coals. Maybe my reading and self-reflection are starting to produce results?
