Fantasy custom contest
In between all the commissions, my studies and other hobbies which have kept me busy this spring, I wanted to take some time and enter a custom contest at Paratiisikartano, the Finnish pony forum. The theme was fantasy and fairytales, and, after considering some typical fantasy creatures, I decided to go for the latter.
So, I started with this:
An ugly princess pony with her 3D symbols removed and mutilated eyes. (Yes, I baited her years ago and hated how she looked, so I thought making the eyes bigger might help... well, it obviously didn't. xD )
I hacked off her ears (or his, as this one apparently needed to go through a gender switch as well :D ) and made new ones with Apoxie Sculpt, and added a pair of horns. I also sculpted some fur around the eyes. Looking much cuter already!
Meet Billy, a pony goat inspired by the Norwegian fairytale The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Because of the sculpt work, rehairing him was a pain, but totally worth it - I love the bushy woollen hair.
