Myrntai's choices:
Alan Rickman
The Voice!! Is it even possible to have a voice like that? I could just close my eyes and listen to it for hours... But that's not all, he really is an excellent actor. Playing a bad guy, a good guy or something in the middle - he's lovely. (And because you all wanted to know, yes I think he's good looking, too. Despite being so old :D He's got perhaps the most beautiful nose ever. And that uneasy smile, it's so cute.)
Bagpipes
I think they sound beautiful. Is there anything more to add? I have a soft spot for all the wind instruments. In addition, bagpipes are something truly Scottish. The sound of a bagpipe may carry so many different emotions; joy, sorrow, longing... in a way, it's the sound of freedom, or at least that's the feeling I get.
Coffee
Or should I say "coffees". I love different coffees, latte, cappuccino... with whipped milk or cream etc. Yum. (Irish coffee <3) Normally I drink my coffee simply with milk. I tend to drink more coffee nowadays, I wonder if I should worry about that...
Dialects
Plus accents, being part of dialects. I think this is natural, considering I love languages. In Finnish the situation is different from that of English, for example, but nevertheless dialects and variation in language is interesting. I speak dialect, it's a part of my identity and it's important to me, especially now that I'm living in Turku. (I like the dialect of Turku, though.) In English... well, Scots. What did you expect? :P Yorkshire is lovely, too. I admit I know too little about the dialects of English.
Final Fantasy
VIII and VI are my favourites. VIII was the first FF game I played, I guess that's why I like it so much. And VI is an awesome game! (Well, I haven't even finished it, but anyway.) I know it's cool to have games with fine graphics, but VI has much better characters, plot and world than e.g. FFX. On the whole, Final Fantasy series are unique, games really worth playing.
Quill pens
While metallic pens/nibs are often easier to use, quills have certain advantages, like flexibility. And I like making them. :) I don't have all the fine tools (e.g. a proper knife :D) but my quills are good enough for my need. One fine thing about quills is that sharpening is easy. Or if you need a narrower pen, just a little knife work and the pen is ready to be used. For drawing a pointed metal nib is a must, though.
Winter
The frost, subzero temperatures. Not too cold, -10 degrees (Celcius) will do. I like snow, and the trees are so beautiful in winter. The frost makes everything glittery. Besides, I like woollen clothes - not much to do with them in summer, right? :P
