what a weekend
Friday Ken and I had lunch with my gay uncles...which was cool... They know Dr Ruth! and Norm from the old I-hop commercials. my uncle said some vaguely raciest things, my favorite was asking ken if he knew where all the good Chinese restaurants were and how long he had been speaking English.
Saturday we went to the repeal Prop 8 rally in downtown LA there were 12,000 people there according to the radio. Mayor veragosa spoke and some other big names It was very nice. I miss being socially active and caring about things. oh the mayor said school instead of school and that was pretty cool. and ricki lake talked... there were amazing speakers, but riki is just such a home girl.
Then we went to this really cool vegan restaurant in ghetto-tastic downtown LA by LACC. It was really good because it wasn't healthy at all it was like vegan food the way I used to be vegan...deep fried and fantastic!!!
then he took me to this place called Scoops...they make crazy flavors of ice cream my favorite and one i had a whole scoop of was OLIVE OIL AND SALT...I also had a scoop of banana oreo...amazing!!!
during my great day my family was almost evacuated and said it was smarter for me to stay where I was at so i spent another night at Kens.
we got dinner at this cool Italian place close to where I used to work in Arcadia. And we saw Role Models which was awesome! then went to target so id have clothes to wear
today I had work and it took me 4X as long to drive home because all the freeways that connect my house with my work were closed and I had to drive waaaaayyyyyy out if the way
getting to work in the morning is going to suck.
