To the people who don't have a television.
Please don't get uppity when others are surprised by this. It is a little odd. If you met me for the first time and you asked if I'd read a book you'd read only to be met by:
Oh, I don't have any books.
Then you'd be pretty surprised yourself.
As it is, there are a lot of good programmes you're missing out (and have missed out) on. I hate the bad reputation television has. There are a lot of awful programmes but there are some good ones. There are a lot of awful books but there are some good ones.
"Why does everyone always act so shocked when they find out I don't have a telly?!"
Because you're depriving yourself of quite a lot of good stuff. That's my reason, anyway.
