Good things that I have done today:-
- Broken away from the godawful forum which has occupied my time for two years and I don't know why it's taken so long.
- Sat on World Wind for hours.
- Found my old primary school in Bethel Park on World Wind.
- Won an eBay auction on the Spitting Image album 20 Golden Gobs. eBay is incredibly exciting, I must keep away from it.
Bad things that I have done today:-
- Eaten an entire Terry's Chocolate Orange for breakfast
- Sat on World Wind for hours.
The astute reader will see that the 'World Wind for hours' one was mentioned in both lists. A clever joke there you see. I can't let it consume all my time, wondrous though it is. And it really is. Starting at 44,646 kilometres away from the Earth I can zoom in to just under 1000 metres and be close enough to San Francisco to see cars on the roads. If you put it to full screen and then zoom in as quickly as you can from space then it feels like you're feeling. Very disorientating.
My favourite is finding airports and laughing at how inadequate the planes seem to my all-seeing, God-like eye.
But, just between you and me, the real kick I get from this program is finding arial views of the cities that the GTA cities are based on and then spotting similarities.
