(no subject)
Hello Everyone~
It has been a while. o_o Now, mind you, I check all you guy's LJs every day, and comment when I feel I have something relevant to say, so I don't feel like I've been _gone_, but at the same time I suppose maybe someone might be interested in me too (like myself 10 years from now, it _is_ a journal, right?)
First thing of course is that today I got Athena & Val's parcels! I made myself not start reading Val's books just yet or it'd be days before I could do this entry. XD So I'll comment on them for you later after I've read some. As for Athena & Kevin's gift, the FFXII "Potion", thank you!! o_o The letter didn't even mention that I collect bottles so I wonder did you guys know that? I have around 70 different bottles on shelves in my room. So, this was an awesome gift. XD I probably won't try any until I feel like I am down on HP though. I'm sure I can find something to stick Saturn and the origami crane to though. (That is the cutest stationary yet o_o)
What else, let's see, recently I got a new job (through a temp agency). Which I got let go from >_> it's okay, it wasn't what I was expecting and wouldn't have gone for it had I known. Then I got another job, but some big project got canceled o_o; so they had to let me go from that too. Now I have yet another... this is the one that Val wondered was legal or not, as it has 12-hour workdays. Basically in a two-week period from sunday to saturday, sunday to saturday, I work the uppercase:
-sun/MON/TUE/wed/thu/FRI/SAT-
-SUN/mon/tue/WED/THU/fri/sat-
So, seven days every two weeks, instead of ten. So it's nice because basically it's that many fewer times I need to commute, and endurance is one of my strengths (strength isn't XD oh well). The job itself... I don't really have a specific job yet o_O; I have done a number of things. I get the feeling I'm basically going to learn every single thing, and then fill in for people...? Hm. It's not a bad place though. However having new jobs means I have no vacation time yet 9_9 so I was planning to go to Japan this year but I don't see how I could without quitting at this point. I might be able to squeeze in a Napa trip? I dunno :O
What else... oh, I'm on a Luna Lovegood kick >_>; What's up with us and obsessing over something, if it isn't a character it's a song, or artist, or friend, or book, or something... but yeah. David is like "Dude", but I know he does the exact same thing sometimes so XD so anyway yeah, looking forward to the Order of the Phoenix movie tons more than I was for the others. Oh! And my older sister Kati is coming this week to stay for a little bit, bringing her almost 2-year-old son Jeremy and her husband whom I haven't met before. That'll be neat. Jeremy is the one who ended up being a boy with an ordinary name instead of a girl with an awesome name... I will have to do what I can to teach him cool things while he is here, to compensate. o_o;
Okay! NOW I can bring my new stack of books to my bed and read all day XD
