"I'm The Doctor. I'm worse that everyone's aunt!"

THE FOLLOWING POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. There, I warned you.

So, I've just finished watching 'The Eleventh Hour'. I loved it! Great writing, great acting, just great all 'round.

The new credits are going to take a bit of getting used to, but I like the new foint, and the logo's pretty good. Hpwever, it made the show feel really different, which I think is a good thing in a way. It's esentially a new show about the same person. This is my first whole series with a new Doctor, so yeah...

Anyway, I loved young Amy. She was cute. I loved how she was praying to Santa. Very nice. I felt so sad when I realised that the Doctor wouldn't come back to her. The scene with the food would have to be one of the best of the episode, starting with 'You're Scottish. Fry something!" and ending in fish custard. Sucking custard off of a fish finger seemed very suggestive. Maybe it's the slasher in me. And then we met the Altraxi. Thank you Steven Moffat for scaring me.

So we move into the future, Amy is still a great addition. it's probably just me, but I saw a little bit of Lynda Day in her. She was very Lynda-ish, I thought. We move onto the additional door. Also a bit freaky. I may have to start counting my doors before I go to bed from now on. Prisoner Zero was a bit creepy. But this IS a Moffat episode, it was designed to scare. I love the Doctor and Amy's litte exchange after fleeing the house:

Doctor: Why did you say six months?
Amy: Why did you say five minutes?!

"Twelve years and four psychiatrists!" Yep. I love Amy the Kissogram.

We move onto the scene with the old woman and the Doctor and Amy. "Weren't you a nurse? Nun?" "I dabble..." And then in walks Jeff: 'the good looking one'. The Doctor walks over to him and they check each other out. I may have to ship them.

Amy locks the Doctor's tie in a car door. She is quite fiesty. I believe she is what Lynda Day would have turned out like, had she met the Doctor. And then the hospital. A shirtless scene. I think my first reaction was *squee!*. We get a montage of the incarnations of the Doctors. A very nice continuity nod. Again, Steven Moffat episode. Had to be awesome.

Now, the Doctor flees in his new TARDIS and returns two years later. Amy is not amused. Anyway, we see the new TARDIS and I loved it. Very Paul McGann. I loved the random artifacts scattered across the control panel. The one thing that stood out to me, being a big Moffat fan was the typewriter. My first thought was Press Gang, but I don't know if that was the intention.

Anyway, ramble over. I loved the first episode, and cannot wait for the rest.
