The other day, I finally got to see "Love is the Devil," the biopic about one of my favorite artists, Francis Bacon. I've wanted to see this movie since it came out in 1998, and thanks to netflix, I finally have. It's just as weird and disturbing as his art. If you don't know Bacon, then an example of his work can be found in the first Batman movie where the Joker, while destroying all the art in the art gallery, stops Bob from destroying the one painting, saying he kind of likes that one. That painting was by Francis Bacon.
Anyway, barring my getting a dvd of them, I have found some "Ripping Yarns" sketches on youtube. This is the series Michael Palin and Terry Jones did after Monty Python, and is certainly quite silly. We used to have a tape of these when I was younger, but that disintergrated years ago. Anyway, here is the link to my favorite sketch.
