1
Turk's capa glorious, beautiful, citronella that I am in love with and wish I could have in the house
ranunculus
a grape vine (which will eventually go into the raised bed, but we need to build its trellis first)
5 little assorted succulents in one shallow container - super cute
Plus we sowed a whole mess of Texas wildflower seeds (bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes, baby's breath) in this peculiar little spot of open soil in the middle of the backyard. (We think that there was a tree there once.) We're probably going to sow more of the wildflowers along the back fence line if we ever get around to clearing the sticks and leaves out.
Next up for the backyard is paving around the raised beds within the deer fence; putting in some plants or bushes around the porch (which is just open mulch right now); putting up some kind of tool-and-toy storage unit; and building Miette's playhouse.
On the "maybe this year, maybe not" list for the backyard is having the fence replaced (Right now it's the ugliest possible chain link cyclone fence, and it's hideous and I hate it, but the back yard is really big so replacing it is going to be pricey), and replacing the concrete patio with flagstones. That one seems like a whole lot of work, though.
