Christmas and Castle
Watched the Castle Christmas ep. It wasn't brilliant, but it was definitely good.
I enjoyed Gates. That was fun. I think the key is that they have to make her human. They took too long to do that. She can be Iron Gates, but there has to be something else there. Also, Martha was the best part. I consistently love how she reacts to Castle and Beckett's relationship. Her reaction to Beckett at the door was hilarious. Also really liked the scene between Lanie and Espo. And it is positively refreshing how they're doing the Castle/Beckett. Seriously. He calls her on it when she lies to him, and then doesn't pout like a child when he hears her reason, since it's a good one. Thank you show, for managing to display a mature, genuine relationship, and not feeling the need to go all, DRAMA on us all the time. Really, thank you show.
In other news, I continue to be amused by the way CTV promotes the Mentalist. They have brief clips from all of their fall shows promoting the fall lineup, or something. Castle's is Beckett entering a room followed by a shot of Castle making a joke or something. The one for the Mentalist? Definitely a shot of Lisbon smacking Jane in the arm. HEEE. So pleased by that, I really can't even tell you.
Also, by request, my Christms tree. It is just a little one. It's actually the same height as my TV (about 4 feet). I am pleased with it. Even though the star I bought to go on the top doesn't stay on (the whole top just flops over). I pouted for about two minutes, then I got over it. Now let's just see if I can manage to attach the photo to this post...
