Stolen from
spyglass_, because it's that kind of a day.
Pick a story i've written, and comment to this post with it. I will then give you a dvd commentary on that fic: what I was thinking when i wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a dvd commentary track.
I can't promise the puns, though sarcasm may feature prominently.
Also, just saw the Hound of Baskerville. Show, you please me.
And can I just say,
I recognize that Sherlock/Watson is probably the model of every crime-fighting pair ever, but the J/L comparisons really struck me today. Specifically the Sherlock/Jane
-Both high-functioning sociopaths
-Both get bored if they don't have anything to occupy their brains
-Both would be master criminals if they hadn't chosen this instead
-From the Hound of the Baskerville, "I meant what I said. I don't have friends. I just have one." Not exactly how Jane phrased it in the last ep, but he did point out that he told her about Red John, and her alone. I loved how Sherlock phrased it. John isn't a genius, but he does have a way of focussing Sherlock's genius. In my head, that is what Lisbon does. She facilitates Jane. And she directs him, at least enough so that he doesn't destroy himself, and everyone else. So now I am pleased.
