For Djehuty and Ruthven
Hips has never WALKED to Theoi before. Always she's PINpointed to Djehuty's temple, and then strolled onto the moon. But Hips will not be doing much PINpointing in the very near future. She's in no rush to get back up on that particular horse, thank you. Besides, it'd take more time to program a new PIN with all her old coordinates than to just walk there. Honest.
So she strolls through the Nexus, enjoying the sights, smells, sounds and smeg of a typical Nexus day. When she finally reaches the 'portal' to Theoi, she's startled to see that it's not so much a portal as it is a fading of the Nexus into divine territory. She's never seen it from this end.
It's gorgeous.
She belatedly realizes that she didn't bring a gift, for either Hermes OR for Djehuty. Smeg. Okay, memo to self, go get expensive wines and inks and incense for some serious sacrifices.
It might even be time for the lamb at the crossroads thing.
Hmm.
ANYWAY. To the Moon! She follows the path, spots an ibis, and knows she's on the right track.
Then she stands at the temple doors and sheepishly calls in...
"Djehuty? You home? May I come in?"
