another exciting installment....
man. i totally have got to get my act together with updating this thing! it really is shocking how bad i've got.
so whats there to tell? well....i guess the major news is that i finally have got myself an other half! yes folks, it has only taken 2 & a half years, but the boy who i'm madly in love with finally realised how lucky he'd be to have me - haha, i crack myself up! how it happened is actually kinda funny. was the night of my birthday night out (more about that in a minute) & we were sitting in my living room, he was being all sweet & saying lots of lovely stuff. somehow he ended up kneeling on the floor in front of me, & he said something along the lines of "you're my better half". so my reply was something like "ach don't say that it sounds so.....old married couple-ish". & he came out with "you mean we're not an old married couple yet?" & i said "ha, yet?! then gave him a hug & kinda mumbled "or like, a couple at all". regretted saying that right away, & it seemed like he hadn't heard, cos he went all "what? what did you say?" etc. & i wouldn't tell him. but he eventually came out with "well, do you want us to be?" & i didn't believe him. cos see, his mate Jamie had got back together with his ex the week before....except he didn't even remember doing it cos he was so drunk. so i was convinced this was what Scott was doing, & made him ask me again the next morning when i could be sure he was sober! but yeah. i think that pretty much made my year. so all in all, things with me & my lovely boyfriend are good.
soooo, my birthday was 3 weeks ago tomorrow. got lots of lovely pressies. am also £2000 richer, which is going towards the car fund. went out for dinner with the family on the day of my actual birthday. the plan was to have a big night out the saturday after. well, my big night out turned into me, Scott, Emily, Ali & Elaine having drinks in mine. we were going to be heading to the Shed after & meet other friends there. but typical of my luck, it was the day of the scotland match. & it was chucking it down. & we couldn't get a taxi for hours. so we walked down to the bus stop to try & get a bus. but the next bus wasn't gonna be till 10 past midnight, then i heard from Laney that the Shed was full already. so Martin, Emily's boyfriend, came & picked her up, & me & Scott just went back up the road & sat in mine with a couple of drinks. & obviously thats when all of the above happened. not a conventional birthday night out, but i was happy enough!
uni. well, uni's quite frankly shite. thats all i'm gonna say about that. work is also pretty shite. that pretty much covers it.
looking forward to christmas so much, purely for the holiday! i really can't remember the last time i had a day where i could just sleep for as long as i wanted without actually having to get up to go somewhere! so that'll be nice. can't be bothered christmas shopping though. usually i do it in the week after i finish uni & before christmas itself, but due to the uni's crappy planning, we actually finish the friday directly before christmas this year, so i'll have no time to do that. i know what i'm getting my dad, Scott & Ali. & my bro will probably get a dvd or something. but for my mum i have no idea. & i also kinda feel i have to get pressies for Scott's family cos apparently they'll get me something, so i'm stressing about that!
