summer has gone again
back to uni tomorrow. so i thought i'd better do a bit of an update now, otherwise it'll just all get forgotten!
last weekend. friday night i went to Steven who used to work in my work's surprise 30th birthday party. Patrick was there, & its been forever since i'd seen him, so it was really good to get a chance to catch up. Lorraine, Micky & i went to the Shed afterwards, but we really shouldn't have - i'd been up dead early cos i'd gone into uni with my wee brother to show him where to go, & had gone shopping afterwards, so i was pretty knackered. Lorraine was working at half 8 aswell, so we left quite early really.
saturday night, Emily & i went out for dinner. we went to dimaggios in town, which was yummy. we also got a free drink each cos just after we finished our starter, the fire alarm went off, so the entire restaurant along with the restaurants & pubs next door had to be evacuated! we weren't too bothered, but a lot of people just did a runner whilst we they were outside so they wouldn't have to pay for their meals! after we finished dinner, we went to tgi fridays & had some cocktails - so yummy!
on sunday, i had a lonnnnng shift at work, half 12-10, due to a stocktake. i was working 12.30-6.30, but they phoned me on thursday & asked me if i could stay till 10, so with it being a sunday & time & a half, i said yeah! looking forward to getting paid next friday now, lol. i got an hour for my lunch break cos it was such a long shift, Alison & Alison, who were also doing the stocktake along with some others, went to macdonalds & brought food back. so i had a nice macdonalds for my lunch, which was quite good!
all i did the rest of the week was work really, up till thursday. i went shopping up at EK, got myself some new jeans, a bag, a hoodie, & other bits & pieces for uni.
friday i had to go into uni, cos i had a meeting with my advisor of studies at 9.45. i arranged to meet my brother after his lectures, so i had a bit of hanging around to do. friday night we went out for Lorraine's birthday. it was a good night, good company, even if it was kinda spoiled by Micky's bitch of an ex being basically a complete cow. but hey, we're kinda used to that now!
last night i was at the cinema with Scott. saw Mr Woodcock, which was quite good. went back to his afterwards. was a good night. i ended up getting quite upset cos of the whole "end of summer" thing. i've been seeing him every other day or so during the past few months, & now its kinda gonna be cut down to weekends only cos of being back at uni. i'm gonna miss him sooooooo much! i'm also really not looking forward to being back at uni at all. but there's not much i can do about it now!
