This is so very beautiful. Intense and confusing and pretty and I loved how caring Steve was in the background.

No, I quite liked the mystery element; I think it added to the story.

Okay, who am I kidding? I skipped some errands so I could read this wonderful piece of brilliance, and now I am SMITTEN by all of the Danny feels, dearest author. Holy crap, but I ached for him. You really hit the nail right on the head with the aftermath of that episode, Danny's anger and feelings of impotence and the sheer exhaustion of it all. God, my HEART. And Steve being so very Steve about it all and trying to fix it in the only ways he can think of. *smooshes Steve to death*

And Kono, wonderful, lovely, warm Kono... I would NOT blame Danny if he was in love with her. How can you not be? Chin might kill him, but I think he'd understand, too. ;)

And this, this just about delivered the coup de grâce:

"Yes, and with that all-consuming rage where you said you blocked out everything around you for those seconds, where all you saw was Peterson, the man who told you he could kill Grace--where you only wanted to shoot him dead. You shot him in the leg."

"Yes."

"And walked away."YES. That is EXACTLY IT. Danno, you are the best ( ... )

I am so, so very glad you liked this--I know it wasn't your Rear Window prompt (it did start out that way, I swear! lol) and so really, I'm happy you liked it okay. Thank you for such lovely fb!

This is absolutely marvelous! My heart ached for Danny and all his pain and frustration and anger and every last bit of it was utterly believable and in-character. I loved how supportive Steve was, even if he didn't know what to do or how to do it. Definitely an engrossing read--I didn't want it to end!

this was a piece of brilliance! Un-revealed author, you did a wonderful job with this! Totally saw the Rear Window bit. I might have noticed it before it was actually completely shown.

Danny's spiral out of control and Steve wanting to help him but not really knowing how, but Steve still loves him and is there for him...as it should be.

\o/ Wonderful! A powerful read. Poor Danny, I'm not sure his new apartment is all it's cracked up to be - seems to be a Hellmouth of violence and shenanigans!
