The monthly rant

Jul 04, 2007 21:19

Man am I glad that June is over. Whew!! I think that during that whole month I managed to not be at work a total of about 5 days. Up till then I had a good system I was rolling along pretty good, then I was working every weekend. Guess what I can't do on the weekends? TMDE drops that's what. Eh, but that's all over now. Things are already looking up. In fact they've been looking up since I got my Wii in the mail. ^_^ I so love my Wii. Since I got it life got better. I was so damn bored during they week when I was off, cause no one was around. They were all working.

I think it is safe to say that I was very depressed last month. I'll tell you what though, I called my mom up one day and just vented for like an hour. She sat there and just listened to it all. I really can't believe that I ever resented that woman. I love my mom and dad, and I miss them terribly... even though they get clingy sometimes, and my dad gets all w33py when I tell him I'm gonna have to go to war one of these days. But I'll get to seem them soon enough. Christmas time to be exact. Still not sure how I'm gonna divide up my time between my two families. Well, that's the great part about long distance planing, it's flexible. As of right now I have plane tickets all ready to go for 16 Dec to 13 Jan. The only thing that's left to do is put in a leave request. That's the easy part, the hard part was forking over the 1200+ dollars for round trip tickets from Inchon to Nashville and back. Eeesh... =S Plus I'm gonna be paying another 300 or so for round trip tickets from BNA to ATL, and a rental. Hmm... what's the cut off age for increased rental cost??? *shrug* My only question, why is it so expensive to travel during the holidays? You'd think they'd reduce cost to attract more people to fly during the holidays. But, what do I know, I'm just a private.

Oh, that reminds me about a conversation SPC Garzon and I were having. Or rather an argument, as it were. I can't go into specifics, but he was completely opposed to the notion that it was possible for a power strip to burn up if you yank the cord out of the wall socket when there's a 16A load on it. His reasoning, it has a breaker on it. =/ And I'm all like, all a breaker is is a bi-metallic strip that, when it heats up, heats unevenly so that a mechanical switch is opened at a certain temp. If too much current flows through it, or the voltage is really high it can fly right through that shit. He seemed to think that there was some... never mind that'll bring me into details. Suffice to say, it felt like I was arguing with myself. So I just let it drop. Again I point to the statement made at the end of the previous paragraph. Which brings me to our scheduling. SPC Garzon sits down for hours and tries to figure out the schedule for the month, and spews out some ol' bullshit. I sit down for about 25 minutes and pump out something that's about a hundred times better. There must be something I don't understand, cause making a schedule ain't that serious.

Ooo..I completely forgot about my Wii for a minute. So yea, best contraption ever thought up. =D Easily the best console system on the market right now. I got Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Wii Play, and Resident Evil 4(not sure what possessed me to buy this one). I loved all but RE4, but only because it controlled like a drunken retard. I haven't given up hope for RE4 though, it could grow on me. BTW my Wii is online, and it's name is Wiiny. =D So if any of you want to drop by feel free, if I knew anyone else's system name I'd decipher the messaging system and send some. =)
