February post!
This month's prompt-y post is a response to a couple meme from in_the_blue. Even though I'm still very much single, and can fill an entire LJ post with my feelings about that and the pervasive social bias against singles, I thought the meme's couple theme would be fun for February.
First, the rules, in case anyone is interested:
Comment here if you want to play, and I will give you 3-6 couples that I associate with you, and you make an entry in your journal talking about those couples and fics that you wish the universe would write for you.
G gave me the following five couples, and I was a good girl and avoided answering with my own plot bunnies that I've been too lazy to start/finish:
Hex/Maeve - Thanks to a comment from shellebelle93 on my last post, a meeting between Hex and Tony Stark has to happen, and Hex will bring Maeve along so they can both have a fancy dinner for free. We'll probably need Pepper Potts to be there, too, to help keep Tony in line and give Maeve some pointers on dealing with snarky maverick geniuses.
Peter/Blanche - If they didn't meet at Dogstar, then how would they have met? I imagine it was through Peter's job with the Daily Prophet, but he's a comic strip artist who works from home (and he's diligent about submitting work on time!) so I have no idea how to make that happen.
Ron/Hermione - Inspired by JKR's comments about how Hermione should have ended up with Harry (and by recent rumors/news that Emma Watson's dating Prince Harry, LOL), I'd love to read something about a married-with-kid/s Hermione thinking about "what might have been"... and deciding that she made the right decision. (This is a couple meme and R/Hr is one of my all-time OTPs. Of course that's how the fic should end!)
Harry/Ginny - This was the toughest one. I was pulling for Ginny the whole time she had that one-sided crush on Harry, but sort of lost interest once she bagged the guy. Maybe something about Harry pursuing her for a change? Even just paying her some marked attention after she (wise girl that she was) decided to date around while waiting for him to come to his senses? Ginny deserves to have something like that written for her.
Weetzie/My Secret Agent Lover Man - I think their canon fleshes out their relationship wonderfully, but I would love to read a short fic from the heady days of their early relationship, when they were young and crazy and making movies together. Maybe he's directing her in a scene and there's all this tension that they both can't wait until the cameras stopped rolling.
