Day 4 of the Black and White Photo Challenge - Good shoes take you to good places
I thought about following up Day 3 (a picture of the sky) with a picture of the ground. It seems that, when I'm outdoors, I look down just as often as I look up, and it's not just because I try to watch where I walk. I think I have as many pictures of the ground as I do of the sky through the trees. I've taken pictures of interesting things I've seen at my feet or of my own feet, and in a lot of those moments, my feet have been wearing these shoes.
So today, I'm posting a photo not of the ground that I find interesting, but of the shoes that have taken me through those moments. They've walked the streets of San Francisco, Seoul, and Suva, and schlepped through the aftermath of a Washington, DC snowstorm (on the day I didn't wear my snow boots) and a tropical cyclone in Nadi. I've also worn them to countless basketball games here in Manila, including three UAAP championship finals.
Sadly, they've stayed at home on my last few trips because Chucks aren't known for their arch support, but they're still good for another tour of duty or two. I don't think I'll be throwing them away anytime soon.
And now, a question - any suggestions for what my Day 5 picture should be?
