Happy...
...Canada Day (belated);
...Birthday to the ever-luverly hfleming8 (belated);
...Filipino-American Friendship Day (which is what we call the 4th in these here parts); and
...weekend!
At long last, my resignation requirements are out of my hands. I just hope everything gets done in time for my last day at work, the 15th, to really be my last day. On the work front, part of me is sad to be leaving especially since there's so much going on and not enough people in our division to deal with it all, but I'm more rarin' to leave.
I still need to attend to my health information and Canadian visa application stuff. And maybe have a big LJ overhaul to reflect the big changes ahead.
I have not been on LJ in a while, so it's only now that I've heard about (and seen) the HBP movie stills on The Leaky Cauldron. Lovepotion!Ron is adorable ♥ :D And how about the grim-faced Harry and Hermione picture? I can caption that one: "Sorry, folks, we're not canon." *snark* I'm still working my way through them, but they're making me excited to see the movie.
Speaking of movies, I saw Wanted last weekend and it was cool, if a bit gory. I think "I crush" James McAvoy :D
And larochka173, you might be interested in this review of Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian. I know you said I wouldn't be able to put it down, but I have...quite a few times :-/ I plan to tough it out and finish the book - even though I've read the review and am totally spoiled on the ending - because I already bought it and you recommended it to me and I trust your tastes!
