I was thinking of renting out a gallery space and hosting a group artshow here in Chicago either late August or Mid-September. Basically the idea/theme of the show is how people and ideas connect through Blogs. I have all these different artists on my flist and seen awesome artwork since I joined LJ, and I wanted to try to curate a show that showcased different artists, and the idea of how communities are formed, how blogs are the new, yet widely used forum for communicating ideas and talent and how it's become this platform for networking. Another reason for the show is to raise awareness for people that aren't bloggers to the reality that blogs very real presence and kind of a huge element of people's lives internationally. And probably in space. Also, I feel like Chicago has this burgeoning art scene and could really use an event like this.
So I'm hitting up my flist on LJ. I was wondering...would you be at all interested in participating in the show by showcasing some of your work? I really adore your art and I'd love to have you be part of this.
