Break out the pajamas, it’s time for a party
By Joanne Irons
Special to The SUN
It’s that time again - time to leave home with your flannels, fuzzy slippers or fur collared lounge jacket.
Women Helping Women’s annual Pajama Party is being held at the Liberty Theater at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18.
This event is for women only, and the donation of $25 goes toward helping women who are in need of financial support as they go through treatment for different, debilitating diseases.
This network of women also provides prayers, meals, rides, prayer quilts and other support services to help the family in need.
The surprise movie for the evening will be chosen by JoAnn Laird, one of the organizers of Women Helping Women, and tickets may be purchased at Galles Properties, downtown on Pagosa Street. You ask for “Jane” and the password is “blonde.” Tickets are limited, so hurry in, or call Joanne Irons for delivery. Checks should be made out to CUMC/Women Helping Women.
The Russia House Collection will be auctioning off a beautiful pair of linen pajamas at the event. The concession stand will be open for business that evening.
If you know of anyone in the community needing the group’s support, please contact JoAnn at 264-1250, or Joanne at 946-7545.
