close your eyes to the world so you can really see

In the drama and craziness that is my life, God is contsantly reminding me that He is God. I have such a different perspective on life now that I used to. Thinking about some of the issues of the past week, I realize how petty they are. In the long run, it doesn't matter what grades I got or where I lived at college, or any of the other things that have come up this week. My life has purpose and meaning beyond these events.

I've been heavy hearted because of all of the stress in my life and how I have been acting when caught in the throes of the drama. I keep thinking back to Mike's first sermon of the semester and he talked about Matthew 6, the sermon on the mount. Important things I need to remember:
1. Seek God first and everything else will be added to you.
2. Do not worry about tomorrow.

I need to write some verses on notecards and carry them with me. (Until I memorize them.) God really goes speak. It's quite wonderful.

God is doing a lot of work in my heart. He is healing me, providing for me and caring for me.

Precious truth.
