i fall like dead autumn leaves and let the jet stream carry me
today was a pretty good day.
it was the first day of fall which i already mentioned.
Sean texted me as i was driving to class.
it probably drove his phone bill up more but oh well.
turns out they were on comms blackout which is why i didn't hear from him.
for anyone who doesn't know it's so word of mouth doesn't get to a family
before they've been officially notified by the military officials. which is good.
he still hasn't gotten my postcard from three weeks ago -_-
i enjoyed talking to him though and he said he wants lots of pictures <3
i missed him a ton and those few texts really helped.
plus he sent me an extremely short email because he was on guard duty.
but i'll take what i can get when i can get it.
i realized it's probably silly for me to send him something everyday...
they only get mail on thursdays so really it's all gonna get there the same day i'm sure lol.
anywayyys, class was decent.
my teacher told us about her husband trying to commit suicide last sunday...
i found it kinda weird she was telling us about it, it's only our second class. idk.
we learned the rest of the Toy dogs so i have to learn the 21 by next week for our quiz.
after class i called my mom finally. she wants me to come for christmas.
i told her i'd much rather work seeing as i'm already scheduled that day of the week.
but that i'd be willing to come the week before or the week after.
i have to find out if when Sean's R&R is first though because he might be home.
which btw! he's finding out tomorrow apparently?! mad soon. really surprised.
anywho, work went by extremelyyy slow and i was bored as all hell.
Molly came to visit around 8:30? ish? and stayed til around 10.
we did a whole lot of talking in a short amount of time.
i called the woman from the FRG today because she called about an email i sent her.
i felt so so much better about everything after talking to her.
she said it's completely fine if i only want to receive phone calls and not red line messages.
it's more geared for the families on base together so all the gossip doesn't get the best of them.
well, i'm not there and i don't watch the news if i can help it so it's not much of a problem.
i even told her that i cried when i got the call (which i felt kinda lame about doing)
and she told me she did the same thing when she found out from the higher ups about it.
it's nice to know you're not alone in things even if your company is 800 miles away.
oh! i'm trying my best to be more social.
i exchanged numbers with one of the wives of Sean's friend.
she moved back from NC for the deployment so she's only in Maine.
we're gonna plan a day to meet up in Boston :)
plus i'm gonna hang out with a girl i barely knew back in ninth grade..
we've seen eachother here & there but we're not really friends.
she's planning a wedding for next year as well and her fiance is military.
she's pretty much me..except marines version lol.
so yeah hopefully those hangouts actually happen.
most of the people i want to hang out with are uh..in different states and on LJ :p haha
soo yeah. that is all! busy week ahead. expect updates!
