My car rocks, but I do not.
I love love love my new car. Granted, I still suck at driving it, but the 6 speed is slowly coming to me. I got really confident this evening, drove down a narrow hill, and freaked out when trying to turn around. After two days of instruction from my boyfriend, I had to read "how to drive a standard transmission" on about.com before I "got" it. My biggest mistake so far has been letting the clutch out too soon--until i read the article, i thought it was a really fast transition between the two. Now I just have to wait for the real confidence to kick in, so it all becomes second nature.
I still look at my car and can't believe that it is mine, and am so excited that it is. I never thought I would be an auto geek.
