& I'm bored so i guess i wiLL :)

last Friday ___
went over to megz house with Caity & Kelsey * we got pulled over on foot by a cop -- he said it looked
like we were fighting ... i guess slushie fights are considered "violence" nowadays ;] -- played Fuzion Frenzy, & me and Kels kicked butt :) -- ilu girls <3 ___

saturday ______
slept in for a little. then went with my dad ... to Philadelphia for a porcupine tree concert. when we got there, it took us quite a few trips around the block to find a parking place. and while we were, I saw Steven Wilson (lead guitar, vocals, etc)sitting on a stool in the music shop that they were signing CDs in and I sorta freaked out and made my dad find a parking place quick! so we went to the signing and i got my "Deadwing" and "In Absentia" CDs signed as well as getting a quick word with the band .. unfortunately
when i say quick .. it was realllly quick but it was definitely a plus. Gavin Harrison (drums) was saying that this guy doing demographis stuff for them was the cover of the one CD (In Absentia -- it has a weird cover..)and then he also said that he was the cover of Deadwing too, except he lost a lot of wait and put on a dress. Then John Wesley (guitar on tours, adds guitar to tracks on CDs) added that it was due to the Atkins diet :) greatness ..

After the signing, we walked around Philly for a while. [I <3 Philly] we visited Ben Franklin's former house area and then got caught in the rain so we made our way over to the Trocadera where the show was
going to be, found a parking place, and took a little walk. The doors didn't open until 7, so we stood in line since 5:30 but we were one of the first to get in and it was definitely worth it :D

The doors opened and we practically ran inside (after the secutiry guards checked everything) I got in the VERY FRONT! there was only the gate thingy and 2 feet infront of me from the stage.. I was SO close <3 There was an opening band called Tunnels, Percy (can't remember his last name) played the bass and this guy was doing all this stuff with mallets.. it was alright .. not thrilling though..

then Porcupine Tree came on the stage.
i sound stupid by saying this, but the concert
left me speechless. It was amazing. Steven Wilson
is one hell of a guitar player .. some of the riffs he managed.. wow.
and John Wesley pulled off some pretty awesome
solos too. They played some great songs. & it was
just .... no words ...

anyways .. afterwards we bought the usual concert souvenirs, (i got a shirt :) ) and then the one guy that was videotaping in the record shop, got us on the video when we were jsut standing there. and then we just talked about how the band REALLY deserves to make it. and they really do ..

then we waited around for maybe an hour and then John Wesley came out and we talked to him for a while. We had seen him before the show when we were standing in line cuz my dad was the only one that recognized him and on the way back from wherever he was walking to, he stopped and shook my dads hand and asked him how he was. That was cool. Then during the concert, I caught his eye and he smiled and nodded. I find that really awesome :) .. Anywho .. he told me the opening chords for lazarus (Amaj7 w/o the third etc.) and then we waited a while longer and FINALLY steven wilson came out. AH. I couldnt think of what to say so I asked him the chords too. ( It was soo cool to hear him say it with his English accent :P ) but i shook his hand .. and then everything was over. We went home, slept ( or tried to ) and that was that.

Above all. I wish I was back there now. Listening to that music. & Steven play the guitar. I would much rather be there than here because here, I think too many things..

. it was the best thing ever .
