like the living dead...

Wow, it has been more than a month since I updated on this site. Meh, oh well, I was busy.

So my thesis proposal went through IU. To explain just exactly what it is, the thesis proposal is for the Forum on Education Abroad research awards (long title I know), my topic was the Jichinsai (ground breaking ceremony) in modern Japan and its current role. Professor Sterling (Japan and Anthropology professor at IU) is sponsoring me in this endeavor. If the thesis goes through the Education Abroad’s selection process, I’ll be awarded money and go present my project next March in Austin, Texas. W007.

I however, failed to be accepted to the Hiroshima and Peace seminar this summer. This means I’ll just be staying here working on Bioanthropology, the comic, and reviewing Japanese along with GRE crap. I’m disappointed, but it was a long shot anyway. Don’t know when I’ll be returning to Japan yet however, if I ever really do.

But if I return, I’m going to Osaka. And Kyoto…I absolutely adore Kyoto.
