My mommy is getting her tooth pulled today. yikes.
I am returning to mohonk today after having almost a 3 week break. Maybe now that it is spring it wont be so bad. but i doubt anything is any different.
This week has been the craziest week of my life. I had three major performances, 3 hr rehersals every other day, a residency, and the prison performance to prepare. Im going crazy! this is the last cram. starting in May i wont have a lot to do at all. and i don't want to return to mohonk almost full time. what should i do? i was thinking of starting a garden, and i am going to continue taking my dance classes but besides that i guess it will all just fall into place.
april 29 is spring receptions at umass. i can't wait! then first week in june is orientation. im so excited i could drop dead. which wouldn't be so good... but anyway.
there is this dorm on campus. thatcher hall, which has this AMAZING foreign language program. it is located in the northeast residential area right next to the dance building. each floor has a different language program (japanese, chinease, french, german, spanish, and italian). you have to take courses in your language and speak the language with your dorm mates as often as possible in order to become fluent in it. The northeast residential area is known as the "foreign language, foreign students, multicultural residential area." i talked to a girl who lives in the northeast area and she said she just came back from this wicked party where a chinese pop band played, some students made an amzing thai food dinner, and a bunch of indian boys were bhangra dancing their behinds off. THIS sounds like my kinda college scene. I wouldnt mind gettin jiggy 'wit it with an indian boy. Call me a geek, a nerd, but all i have ever wanted to do is dance, become fluent in a foreign language, and travel. By staying in thatcher i think this is the closest i will get to that kind of environment.
i mean who the hell knows, i might get there and it could be totally different. i could get really disapointed. for all i know i might not even get my first choice dorm. i bet that is rare.
i'm totally over my crush. yes tullah, i could care less about mike from yoga. besides... I'M GOING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS THIS FALL where there will be over 18,000 people. i'm gonna have my cake and eat it too.
