Ya know... insults are so circumstantial... 5 years ago I would have been crushed... unable to get out of bed by some of the insults that have been thrown my way in the past couple of days. A little over a year ago it would have washed over me because the person this is coming from didn't matter to me and the group didn't matter to me. Over the course of a semester a lot happened...
Do you remember at Kate's party urging me to join in the drinking?
Do you remember the times that I helped with the flyer runs you occasionally held?
Do you remember you and Kelso taking me to the comp. lab by the GB Library?
Do you remember late at night in the SCC just hanging out cuz we had nothing better to do?
Do you remember urging me to wear electrical tape... and nothing else?
Do you remember the cakes we made and how they fell apart down the middle?
Do you remember the time I came to your apartment in tears just because my room mate was unhappy with me? Do you remember the pain and the shear hurt on my face caused by a person I wasn't even friends with?
Conflict is about resolving differences... Resolution comes from wanting the relationship to last... obviously that is not the case, and in that case, you are merely some random person shouting obsenities at me.
When I mean nothing to you, you mean nothing to me.
