Alright, folks. I am nursing The Little Hangover That Could, and it is a persistent little bitch, and I forgot about a big bang fic that's due in two days lolol, and so I am a little strung out. And I thought, what better way to cheer myself up then bring AU!Holmes and Watson out to play

Watson - how he imagines his grandfather and Holmes would have gotten along. Also, tell me more of what Holmes's tattoo looks like in action. Plus, yes, tell me tales of sick-with-the-flu Holmes.
Unbearable hotasses, these boys!

But this whole thing just made me say, oh, honey, I'm so glad you've got Watson to take care of you.

Well, I guess that's not exactly true. My grandfather would have hated any man I loved; that's why I never came out to him. He was a great man, he raised me and my brother as best he knew how, he loved us and we loved him, but he was a total fucking homophobe, poor guy. Took that with him to his grave. He's probably rolling over in it now, actually.
But I don't know. I think if he'd met Holmes without any idea of what he was to me, he'd have found him entertaining. Holmes is entertaining, that's just the truth. And my grandfather was really big on smart, and there's no denying that Holmes is brilliant--crazy, yeah, but brilliant too. So, I, uh. I'm actually kind of picturing the kind of trouble they could have gotten into. My grandfather was pretty spry for 87, and he was an electric engineer for most of his life. My guess is they would gotten along famously for an hour and then screamed over who was to blame when they burned shit down ( ... )

I know it's entirely my own fault for asking these particular questions, but these answers make me want to just hug both of the boys, wrap them in blankets, and let them cuddle. Even if Holmes would give me the smuggest smile in the universe once he realized that I'd done exactly what he'd been angling for all along.
