If you take the pasta and meatballs from the other night and heat them up in the microwave, that's "leftovers" (reuse).
If you take the pasta and meatballs from the other night, mix them up with cheese and some other fixin's and bake them in the oven, that's "ingredients" (recycle).
If just the thought of the pasta and meatballs from the other night makes you lose your appetite and you just have some water and an apple, that's "dieting" (reduce).
Later: How we fared (pun intended): If it were just me, I'd have probably just gone with the "reuse" option, but C recycled with some tomatoes, mozzarella, and more pesto. It was yum.
